If you’re a homeowner, there’s a good chance that you’ve had to replace one or more of your home appliances. Your home appliances are used on a daily basis and can be quite expensive to repair or replace if they break down. In order to save yourself from the large cost of replacing them, it’s important that you maintain them as much as possible!

- Clean the coils with a vacuum cleaner brush attachment every few months or so to get rid of dirt and dust that can accumulate in the coils.
- Check for leaks around the refrigerator door seal by spraying water on it from inside and looking for droplets from outside.
- Get into the habit of defrosting your freezer once a year using a hair dryer set at low heat to melt ice build-up around any food items in there.
- Change out porous filters monthly if they are installed in your fridge’s grille at the base of the fridge or in the upper right corner of the interior of the unit. In either spot you will notice a button or knob that will allow you to release the filter for replacement.
Maintaining Your Washing Machine

It is important to maintain your washing machine, so it lasts a long time. You can do this by cleaning out the lint filter and following the directions for what products you put in with your clothes. It is important that you keep up with these tasks because if not done often enough they will cause more serious issues down the road such as mold and mildew buildup!

- Rinse thoroughly with cold water.
- Empty any remaining water from bucket and dry out all remaining residue using towels or paper towels. Use an air compressor if necessary (be careful not to damage appliance).
